random stuffs

i've decided to start listening to my whole library instead of a select few songs from the library. well, it's a waste to have over 5000 songs if you didn't listen to them, isn't it? but this is really unprecedented, i always hate the idea of having to keep pressing skip when i encountered a string of dry songs. but so far, it's been refreshing. there were many, many songs that i don't really love but i like them nonetheless.

ah, and of course, the discovery of a few gems here and there. especially all those songs i stole from the rest of NUS residents. (ourTunes simply rocks!)

Last Kiss
Pearl Jam

Oh, where oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.

We were out on a date in my daddy's car
We hadn't driven very far
There in the road, up straight ahead
A car was stalled, the engine was dead
I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right
I'll never forget the sound that night
The screamin' tires, the bustin' glass
The painful scream that I heard last.

Oh, where oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.

When I woke up, the rain was pourin' down
There were people standing all around
Something warm rollin' through my eyes
But somehow I found my baby that night
I lifted her head, she looked at me and said
"Hold me darling just a little while."
I held her close, I kissed her our last kiss
I found the love that I knew I would miss
But now she's gone, even though I hold her tight
I lost my love, my life that night.

Oh, where oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
Oooh~ ooooh~

discussion again. i'm still torn between joining GTT and focusing solely on hall now that i'm given the chance to do so. either i keep my current executive board position, which is going to be a lot slacker now that most of the works are being picked up by GTT, or i could take up GTT post (and still keep my executive board position due to my president's unwillingness to release me). the first option sounds more than good for me. but i also realised that opting for the second one will really brighten my future prospects and polish up my mediocre resumé. i'm having really hard time deciding and i have a week only to do so.

takraw prelim today. c-block easily gained place in semi against e-block after defeating a-block 3-0, all with straight sets. the prelim extended up to 1215am. it's pretty tiring.

ah. the you-know-what result was out too. it's quite exciting to see some of the new faces squealing with happiness when they note that their names were in. or for some, it's a disbelief that they got in. and for yet another bunch of people, sadness i guess. the list stated 'freshies' although there were a few seniors in there. haha!

today saw krx audition as well. it's quite funny to see the freshies acting their heart out while they were memorising the script down the lobby. shiwei, nat, nihara and a few more people were there. hopefully they got what they want lar. they looked quite hopeful, although krx is not very easy to get into.

ah, missed out today. sigh. nvm. next week will do better.

(you can't be less cryptic, can you?)

anyway, ever heard of Black Eyed Peas' My Humps? is it nice? no. it's not nice. at least in my opinion it's not. but anyway, it's worth listening too because of the ending. after all those lousy tunes and lousy vocal (especially that girl's vocal!), you are presented with a damn cool piano tune that stuck with me ever since i heard it first in one of the wong fu's production films. i think it was invisible children short film. try watching his films. quite impressive really.

should sleep now. shall wake up early tomorrow!
