anti-bash

i've certain amount of fun the past few days of school. my courses this semester don't look as bleak as they did a few days back. islam civilization studies is interesting; chinese is not as bad as i thought; foundation of engineering has crazy professor teaching it. i don't think things would go stale this semester with these kinds of courses abound.

moving on. i finished reading good omens. i'm moving rather speedily to jules verne's journey to the centre of the earth. so far it's proven to be both interesting and boring. interesting because of the storyline, boring because of the english it uses. well, i'm used to the more casual english. nevertheless, i rather enjoyed the experience of reading this slim book. i'm a quarter past the book already and readying myself to sleep. yeah, i haven't had enough good sleep recently, even with rag dance behind (this is not so true, considering that we'll be having 2 rag repeat performances @ ps this weekend).

today is hall bash. guess what? i'm not attending. doesn't come as much as a surprise huh? i'm a little bit anti-clubbing as of now. it's tiring and it's a waste of money. seriously, i don't know what's the pleasure people found in clubbing until 3 or 4am in the morning. only tired body, unsound mind and lack of moral reasoning. i could still remember what happened last year during bash (that was the only bash i ever attended and it was my only clubbing experience). it was horrible i must tell you. one guy was spilling nonsense. another girl was dancing like hell (she's not the dancing type). etc. etc.

ah, i'm also faced by the rhetorical question: am i lucky or am i blessed? hard huh? it's easy for most people to answer this. the answer, after all, is either one or the other. not so for me and a few other people. we're such indecisive people.

blah. signing off.

i think i've been reading a reasonable amount more than the last time. i hope it lasts this semester. i'm tired of being a slacker (yeah, right). i have to attend a talk later and the pre-readings for the talk are quite crazy. well, but nvm, i'll just make sure that i'll read as many as i could.
