happy new year

happy new year 2007.

i guess.

i didn't even realise it's 1st of january 2007 until kristy suddenly appeared outside my room door wishing a happy new year. wow. what a life in hall. nobody's around. i feel so peaceful and alone. no, i don't feel alone at all. i feel like i would be if there's nothing in my mind at all. this is probably the best times in my holiday this year. other than christmas of course.

for example, i've got a new friend. again, i guess. it's a rare thing. i mean, you meet new people often. sometime almost everyday. but you don't meet people whom you feel you can connect with at okay level or above that often. i don't know, it's a good way to start the year i guess, having a new friend in your life. and i've to think of a name for this person. i mean, all my good friends have went through that stage of having a 'pet' name in this blog, lol. oh god, they're going to kill me if they read this. well, her name already sound like a pet name, as in a real pet. i'll think of something better though, no worry.

i don't know, i love staying alone. yeah, i messaged a friend just now. and she was alone watching tv. i mean, isn't it great? don't you feel better alone? freer? as if no worries could break your barrier. it's excellent feeling.

at the same time, i also watched serendipity. this is the second time i watched it in the past 6 days. yes. that's right man. the past six days. watched it during christmas, and watched it again today. i realised that serendipity probably has the best combination of soundtrack among many movies that i watched. it's really serene and pretty. well, well. i think i'm going to get the cd soon. yes.

the only minus this holiday is that i have a review due on tuesday night. i guess, being a bit late is okay this time around. i don't think i can complete an excellent review anytime soon. but i sure will finish by wednesday morning. then i'll continue with my competition submission. yes, reviewing and competing in the same week is a big feat, if i managed of course. it's crazy. both requires quite a bit of learnings. the review one is especially tedious, albeit small. it has a lot of holes where coders could just fall into. i mean it's so damn complicated man. even as a reviewer, i still see no definite light on how i could really test the full functionality of the component. the implementation is so diverse i couldn't possible find one that fits nicely. oh well. i need to research my old component then. sigh. of course. old components help, especially if you know exactly what you want. and i do. so yeah. and this review will get me USD311 in late february, early march. oh well, i just need to survive that long with the little money that i have now. lol. no worries.

life is great. and here's a song for you readers. beautiful song from serendipity by shawn colvin, titled when you know. it's so calming, like a wide and deep open ocean, where even a tsunami couldn't disturb. where earthquake and volcanoes show no trace on the surface. it's so peaceful. anyway, i found the full song on youtube, guess on what video? on house md! yes, some girl made a video compilation of house and cameron, using when you know as the background song. wish i have the time to do this kind of things.

okay, i guess that's it for tonight. it's been a happy night. i wish you'd come back sooner and bring dvds so i could start watching new shows. lol! yeah, i live on dvds nowadays. will die without one, at least until the 8th.
