the after exam
the after exam.
wow! i've a really great weekends man! immediately after exam ended on thursday! i had so many things to do. oh gosh, i don't even know where to start.
where?
thursday night, after exam, had a good dinner with the pooh bear coiners. yeah, i'm officially pooh bear for a month plus already, thanks to those damn ladies: kenning and fenni. oh well, i know i'm dumb, so yeah, i guess pooh bear suits me. plus i'm lazy! plus horizontally-challenged (thanks to ap for reminding me of that word). heh heh! i'm in the mood of self-bashing btw.
oh well, i did something on thursday night, but couldn't remember what. oh yes, i watched my downloaded curious george. super funny, a little touching, very childish! but liked it anyway, so yeah, nice! then watched gilmore through youtube. nowadays i'm really lazy to download anymore. took a few days just to download gilmore. oh well, gilmore was good. so logan's moving back; that's interesting. lastly i watched bleach, better still, i watched bleach raw! gosh, aren't you impressed? of course it'll be a lot more impressive if i actually understood what they were talking about. oh well, japanese couldn't be as hard as chinese, could it?
come friday, i slacked. did programming almost whole day long. it's been so long since i touched my eclipse and poseidon. felt really good man. lunch with sean, eric, kenny. saw a few people in biz canteen, jiayi, meyling gang. saw xiu as well. and for third or fourth day in a row, saw kat. well, actually eric's the one who saw kat. i'm not that close with her. anyway, so chinese 2 is tough eh? found out that meyling only got a B+ for chinese 1. i'm doomed! she's like how good? i'm like how pathetic? she like studied how hard? i like slacked how hard? i'm grateful if i got a B- now. although still hoping for miracle of a B.
anyway, dinner at kr, saw meyling again. what a coincidence. we haven't been talking for quite sometime. seems like i've been keeping a freaking low profile outside my block. i haven't even disturbed some people that i always disturbed last time for quite some time now. ugh, and when i told her i was going to vivocity, she wanted free chocolate. -_-" (oh, and she got it... even more sweat! but that's for later.)
so i really went to vivocity, enjoying the crowds. gosh, it's been awhile since i went out of nus to such a classy crowds (not the sheng shiong or ginza crowds for example). people from all age and all groups were there. it was, after all, the opening ceremony of vivocity. although people have been telling me not to go there (and wenhao and jieling asked me to go ginza instead and buy bubble tea with them, or more like, for them) because they said the place gonna be so crowded, their prediction was awfully wrong! it was like any normal days. very nice place to be around.
went to explore the place, and guessed what? i saw san bookshop! so you know what i did next, i went in and browse! books! books! books! you know how i love to read books! hehe! i almost bought the belgariad book 1 to book 3. almost cost me $45. but then i realised that the belgariad consisted of five books! what!!? no way! there's no way i'd have spent $75 at one go on books. no no, big NO! so forget it, and i left. lol.
that's the best thing that happened to me, because as soon as i followed my gut and left, i saw pageone. i didn't know what pageone is, but it looked like, looked like, either a lifestyle store or a bookshop! and guess what, it's the latter! omg! omg! a bookstore! another bookstore, so close to nus! and the best thing is that it's huge, i mean really huge! gosh, it's probably as big as borders already! and then the books, the books are really quality ones man! there were so many books i wanted to buy there. and i found shadow of the wind, the book that i've been looking for for a month plus. naturally i was inclined to buy it. then there were also another four books, damnit! they are all so lovely! loved walked in, the fucked up, and lucky dog. gosh gosh gosh. at the end i picked the lucky dog. it's the last book i saw, saw it by accident too. but sounds good. so yeah. there goes. (: now my days will be spent with these books! yay!
i know all the weird choices, but i was in the mood of reading a book on day-to-day life. not fantasy (my old flame) or some freakin' repetitive thriller. maybe because of my good experience with the thirteenth tale. i just wanted to read something light yet not too light. also something realistic. something that can make you sit around hugging yourself under your blanket (gosh, wth! what kind of imagery).
oh well, anyway, i went to shop after getting those two books (and after almost two hours in the bookshop. btw, there was fireworks too, was watching it from inside the bookstore--another plus point for this bookstore! lol, the glass panel facing the harbour water. plus the arrangement of the shelves, totally so much better than kino or borders; much more artistic). anyhow, anyhow, went to shop. wingken's birthday, so decided to get him a small cake from bakerzin and chocs. while i was getting his chocs in giant, i thought, may as well get another one since somebody wanted free chocs so badly (and somebody hasn't finished exam! lol! see lar, blame your chinese 2). well so, i bought 2 bars of lindt' cognag chocs (my personal favourite last time). the chocs is milk choc (unfortunate, since i'd really have preferred dark), but the inside is totally lovely. a little bit of cognag. superb! and bought 2 litres of brownes milk, hopefully my floor fridge is not going to freeze it again (like it did my with my previous one).
ended my vivocity trip by getting charlotte from bakerzin. charlotte is my other personal favourite. here's the description from the website:
Layers of almond sponge with Kirsch syrup and strawberry & raspberry pureed mousse are surrounded by lady finger sponges and topped with strawberries.
heh heh! that's for you wingken, so yeah, enjoy it man!
so went back, gave meyling her chocs, which she shyly accepted. shy for what! you asked for it! blah! anyhow, it's really been awhile since i visited her room, but didn't change much apparently. she was interested in the books i bought, didn't know she's the kind to read. oh well, she showed me a few of her books. the one that interests me is wuthering height. maybe i'll borrow from her soon. hmm.
then, i went to a blk. after skipping their celebration (yeah, i'm a c blker, it'll be weird if i were there), i gave him the cake and chocs. so funny, because before that he went to sean's room and asked me about that cake box on the table. so i had to lie to him that i bought it for myself. and he even opened it and saw the cake already. the stupid thing is that beside it was a piece of candle (not inside the box, outside)! how stupid can i be? shit, shit! stupid chris!
so, happy birthday wingken! now belated of course, this took place yesterday, on friday night.
ah, well, i should end up my narrative soon. we played dota against AI yesterday. then i played jurassic park (a warcraft map) with wing. damn crazy that game! i wanted to just die. must protect myself for 30 minutes against dinosaurs? crazy! and since when a survivor learned how to built power plant and everything else. got sentry gun and everything, it's just crazy! i will play with cheat today! hmm.
today played dota 5v5 for the first time. a little pissed because the opposing team was very angry when i backdoored. hello, backdooring is allowed unless you teleport to opponents' base. oh well, shall not talk about it. my bone reached dr aegis anyway.
that's it! today ate lunch at biz, fish and chips, no wrong, fusilli. also ate the brownies.
dinner was super fun too! ate at ginza. kept pestering eric to reveal his current object of affection. i'll find her eric, you can bet on it.
okay that's it! so review:
