at your side
sorry, terribly busy nowadays. i'm taking up too many outside projects, and all with super short timeline, which is killing me really. but nvm, shall not complain and just do!
anyway, just to entertain myself, i shall write about my past musical inclination. not in detailed recollection of course, just one in fact. i loved the corrs! been collecting most of their CDs since talk on corners, with exception of the newest one, home (which i thought sucks big time). talk on corners was probably the only cd with more than 70% lovable songs. really. imagine when you buy a cd, usually you only like two or three songs of the usual eleven or so. it was completely different with talk on corners. out of almost twenty songs inside, i loved about fifteen of them, including their infamous what can i do and runaway. but that love eventually fades after all. no, i still like the corrs, that's a given. but i'm not a fanatic fan anymore. well, i never was to begin with, but you got what i mean. right now, i rarely listen to their songs. in fact, in my bunch of top rated songs collection in my iTunes, there is only a few Corrs songs, i think only three (before i added the song below): what can i do, would you be happier and another one that i can't really remember. well, anyway, while listening to my library, this song played, the unplugged version (from mtv unplugged: the corrs). anyway, it reminded me of the good ol' days when life is so much more slacker (remember sec 1, sec 2?). i really love the violin play, really rocks. and andrea's voice is really great.
ah, and yes, talking about love, i really love andrea corr. hahaha! there you go, one of the secrets of my life. although right now, i'm no big fan of anybody (more like i'm a big fan of a song, but not of the singer), i used to have a crush on andrea. so funny to recall this kind of rubbish. anyway, here goes, dedicated to my few best friends who are still around (ah, and c-blockers and whoever who knows me personally and does not possess any enmities with me). ah, and to dispel the myth, i'm not gay. by dedicating this song, i'm in no way admitting that i'm gay. there you go! don't think too far.
At Your Side
The Corrs
When the daylight's gone, and you're on your own
And you need a friend, just to be around
I will comfort you, I will take your hand
And I'll pull you through, I will understand
And you know that...
I'll be at your side
There's no need to worry
Together, we'll survive
Through the haste & hurry
I'll be at your side, if you feel like you're alone
And you've nowhere to turn
I'll be at your side
If life's standing still, and your soul's confused
And you cannot find what road to choose
If you make mistakes (make mistakes)
You can't let me down (let me down)
I will still believe (still believe)
I will turn around
And you know that
I'll be at your side
There's no need to worry
Together we'll survive
Through the haste and hurry
I'll be at your side
If you feel like you're alone
And you've nowhere to turn
I'll be at your side
I'll be at your side
I'll be at your side
You know that
I'll be at your side
There's no need to worry
Together we'll survive
Through the haste and hurry
I'll be at your side, if you feel like you're alone
You've got somewhere to go
I'll be at your side
I'll be at your side
I'll be right there for you
(Together we'll survive)
Through the haste and hurry
I'll be at your side, if you feel like you're alone
You've got somewhere to go
'Coz I'm at your side
Yeeeah, I'll be right there for you
I'll be right there for you yeah
I'm right at your side
p.s. wow, guess what song played after this song? mis-teeq's scandalous. damn! really reminded me of ol' days (this time not so slack). that song is my batch's council dance (in jc). hmm, i still owe the two dance ics, zhien and zhiqing a little things which i already lost. and and chong2 also. feeling guilty again now. which also reminded me of rag @ ps, when all the fac heads were watching the rag, i think benjy, ex-s7 fac head and one of the sheares block comm members, invited them. there were the two inter-intras as well. oh, and limin, our junior batch ecaco chair was dancing for medicine. that's also where i met irene wong after almost two years of not seeing her at all. we used to live very close by (before hall) and she was from our junior batch as well. we used to talk quite a lot. oh, and she made it to medicine, congrats gal!
