. . . at last!
hohoho, yesterday i was writing about twenty or thirty lines already. then no mood to continue. so i saved the draft. yet today, forget about it. i'm going to just write a new entry since whatever i wrote yesterday was irr (that's what my infamous history teacher in sec. sch. wrote all the time in my essay--irrelevant).
anyway, yeah! I FINISHED MY EXAM THIS MORNING! yay!! finally. amazing!
but well, the last paper was hell. i S/U it, but it is still the scariest paper among all my papers. there were two 25% term tests and for both tests, i only managed to actually do (actually write something and finished, the rest is blank) 13 out of 25 marks. just slightly above the passing mark. and there's no guarantee that i got all the 13 marks. sigh. today? not much better. i did 27 out of 50 marks. it was seriously tough. yet i have overwhelming confidence while doing the paper. and it helped! most of the questions (actually all with one exception, the one with regular expression) i couldn't do in the beginning. fortunately the first question was on regular expression, which i did in 1 minute. that seriously boosted my morale and confidence. the fact that it's an open book exam made my life a whole lot easier.
the questions were actually not so bad for such a module. but they were all time consuming. some questions are just unbelievably hard you could just skip them without much thinking. look at this one for example (last question, 6 points--i'll texify it some day, if i still remember of course):
Let Sigma = {a,b}. Let M_i denote the Turing Machine with code i.
Show that the language
{a^i | L(M_i) != empty set and for all w (member of {a,b}*), w is a member of L(M_i) iff w^R is a member of L(M_i)}
is not recursively enumerable.
firstly, wth is Turing Machine with code i. secondly, that language? i don't understand at all! i couldn't even come out with an example of any string that belong to that language. and recursively enumerable? well, actually i know what this means, yet, looking at the first two difficulties, may as well skip the whole question.
well, anyway, it's over. so let's get over it, shall i?

to fulfil my misblogging yesterday, i have to write about yesterday's dinner thing today. well apparently there has been a lot of "dinner thing" recently. my dinner group got larger and more fun! =P well, yesterday was different. there were only slam, me and wei. nevertheless, it was fun!
well, you know. wei planned to introduce slam to her sister. her sister apparently likes m'sian guys and slam qualified by being one. and furthermore, their personalities seem to match (except one, she's dominating! well, but wei said she would submit to her guy anyway, so yea). anyway, it's fun to hear how both of them try to find out about each other. slam's asking some questions about her sister, and she asked him back certain questions to determine whether he's suitable for her sister. that was fun. and this has been going on for quite sometime now. hmm. the "slammy darlin'" girl is going to be so disappointed.
moving on, yesterday, without any apparent reason, wei told me that i'm cute. wth? hello? is there something wrong with your eyes? hahaha! me? cute? i'm totally not. really. well, but she insisted. and slam told me that i should blog about it. so here i am blogging about it.
what shall i say? i'm "honoured" by your praise. but it still sounds wrong. and this is not the first time she said i'm cute (oh, no worry about like or not like, she is attached).
talking about cute, let's move to "act cute". let's recall a day earlier. another dinner. this time with two "reclusive" c-blockers, both girls, slam and josh. then i was accusing josh of acting cute and well, they agreed. hahaha! told ya, you always act cute. but anyway, now one of the girls told me that i also act cute sometime. hmm. and just after dinner, i just proved her right. damn!
holy shit. i'm talking nonsense. but fun nonsense, at least for me. hmm. one day i'll look back at what i wrote here and i'd feel damn embarrassed. definitely. i mean, i could read some entries i wrote a week or two ago and feel embarrassed already. so yea. one day, one day.
ah, but josh is leaving us after this semester. he won't be staying in hall anymore. well, all the best, i'll dedicate one entry for you one day (before you leave, or slightly after you leave).

stunning! i just played DotA with AI, with invincibility enabled. it was so damn fun! hahaha, for awhile that is. i got myself some scrolls of townportal. then i'd just portalled myself into my front tower and started hero-killing every single one of them. it was a 2v5 game so i'd have enough heroes to kill. at the end of the game (probably around 30 minutes), i got myself over 80 hero kills. plus all the good items around. and most crrep kills too. the whole thing was funny lar! imagine a level 25 hero with invincibility going after level 10 heroes. i got double kill most of the time and triple kill (a bit less often).
out of all the words that the announcer mentioned, i love godlike the most. it's a once or twice in a game kind of thing. if you could kill 10 heroes (any heroes will do) without getting yourself killed, you'll get a godlike. and the way the announcer mentioned it is awesome! much better than all the killing spree, wicked sick and even holy shit you keep getting. argh, i wanna play, i wanna play! and tml my neighbour, cs, would have finished his exam. then? well... DotA fiesta!!

a junior of mine just got herself a friendster blog (uh oh, that lousy blog). anyway, she was complaining about how she might have to go to SIM since NUS and NTU had not replied her yet. i was thinking. hmm. NUS/NTU replies so early? can't be what!? last year i got myself my result early may. hmm. i think she's just too kan chiong now. relax girl! you'll get it. i'm sure about it.

i watched sky high (in my computer, not in cinema) today. damn funny. that's all i can say. otherwise, it's just another cheap thrill. i mean, it's lame, but if you asked me whether it's worth watching in cinema or buying vcd/dvd, then no. but the soundtrack sounds good. maybe i should try finding a copy around soon. well, we'll see.
ugh, i can't wait for my series to finish downloading. three are in the pipeline now. charmed, gilmore girls and smallville. can't wait, can't wait!
meanwhile, i had a lonely dinner today. the m'sians were out for group outing. i slept past c-blockers dining time too! so at the end i ended up tahpow-ing my dinner. met josh and the two "reclusive" c-blockers just now. it's good to tease josh once in awhile about a particular "reclusive" c-blocker. hmm. out of the two (more hint!).
well all right. i guess that's all folks. i'll probably walk around, visit a-block for while. before deciding to go kill myself. kidding! but well, some people might well be very happy if i did just that ;).
